Metallica gets animated with appearance on The Simpsons

Metal band Metallica will join a long list of other rock acts when the band gets animated for an appearance on the hit Fox show ‘The Simpsons’ in September.

The band posted confirmation of the appearance on their website, and fans can look for the group to appear during the open of the hit show’s 18th season.

Metallica’s appearance on the animated series will put them in a list of other rock bands to get ‘The Simpson’ treatment including The Rolling Stones, U2, The Smashing Pumpkins and REM.
