From Monsters and Critics.com Music News Bangkok - This year's MTV Asia Awards will be held at Bangkok's posh new Siam Paragon shopping and entertainment complex on May 6, media reports said Wednesday. 'Thailand, with its rich cultural heritage, is the perfect place to host this event,' said Nigel Robbins, president of MTV Networks Asia-Pacific. 'The MTV Asia Awards is a ceremony that pays tribute to top musical talents across the Asia-Pacific region,' said Robbins, as quoted by the Bangkok Post online service. Asian stars Stefanie Sun (Singapore) and Jay Chou (Taiwan) have been nominated for MTV Asia Awards while Wang Lee Hom (Taiwan), Tata Young (Thailand), Asha Bhosle (India) and Too Phat (Malaysia) are other regional favourites.
