Carey's first studio release in three years has sold over 400,000 copies sin its debut week, giving the singer the biggest debut of her career.
50 Cent was pushed into third spot with rock band Mudvayne's Lost and Found taking second place and selling over 150,000 copies.
Cent has had six weeks on top of the chart and sold some 3 million copies of his album.
The top five was rounded off with Garbage's Bleed Like Me selling around 75,000 copies and Faith Evans The First Lady in fifth with over 63,000 units sold.
