Mis-Teeq Star's Solo Dream Comes True

Sir Elton John's former manager Derek MacKillop has snapped up former Mis-Teeq beauty Alesha Dixon - offering her a staggering $950,000 (£500,000) solo contract just two weeks after she left the girlband.
Dixon and her former bandmates Sabrina Washington and Su-Elise Nash ended their eight-year musical partnership last month (MAR05) to pursue solo projects - and Dixon is amazed her pop dream has come true so quickly.
She says, "I can't wait to get in the studio and lay the tracks down. I want to hear Alesha as a solo artist, it's all so brilliant."
The sexy brunette, who is engaged to So Solid Crew star Harvey, will start recording new material for record label Polydor next week (begs11APR05).
