By James Wray Apr 3, 2005, 5:10 GMT
Folk and rock legend Neil Young is said to be recovering well from recent treatment for a brain aneurysm.
The 59-year-old singer was operated on in New York last Tuesday and remains in hospital. However, doctors report he is doing well saying "Mr Young had a dangerous brain aneurysm and was treated successfully by the minimally invasive neuroradiology team. He is now resting comfortably."
Young's illness has meant he has had to cancel a performance today at the Juno Awards held in his native Canada.
The singers' career spans three decades with classic albums such as "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" and "After The Gold Rush."
