Ciara's Goodies Beat Elvis to Number UK One

R&B star Ciara's song "Goodies" has went straight to number one on the UK singles chart, preventing Elvis Presley's "A Fool Such I" from setting a record of three consecutive weeks at number one with different songs.
The song which features rapper Petey Pablo has already been a hit in the US where it hit the number three spot on the Billboard chart.
Sony BMG are releasing 18 of Elvis' singles this year, which would have been the singers 70th. It also by chance the last year before copyright expires on many of his songs.
Last week "One Night" by Presley became the UK's 1000th number one.
