SXSW news: Smashing Pumpkins headline the last night of Sound Select

The Smashing Pumpkins have been known for supporting emerging artists, especially in live environments via opening slots on their tours. Now the band makes their way to Texas for a night of great music for Austin’s audience.

The Smashing Pumpkins will headline the fifth and final night of Sound Select: 120 Hours in Austin joined by The Sword, Ringo Deathstarr and Girl in a Coma.

Following the 120 Hours in Austin, The Smashing Pumpkins will launch a world tour March 23 through August 11 with concerts in the U.S., Europe, U.K., Japan and Mexico in support of their latest album OCEANIA

Saturday, March 16 – the time and location in Downtown Austin will be revealed that morning on Twitter: @rbsoundselect

Red Bull Sound Select is focused on connecting artists and fans with unparalleled opportunities to help them discover, create, and most importantly, BREAK MUSIC.  120 Hours in Austin is just a teaser of what’s to come from the Red Bull Sound Select program in 2013 which includes local showcases, national festivals, mentorship opportunities for artists, opportunities for fans and much more.
