Lostprophets: Singer Ian Watkins in custody until March
By Oliver Lippert Jan 6, 2013, 17:01 GMT
Singer Ian Watkins of Lostprophets was arrested in December on child sex offense charges. A hearing in the same month, which lasted less than ten minutes, includes two unnamed female co-defendants, aged 20 and 24.
The three conspirators were arrested on December 18 and will be held until March 11. Watkins faces four counts of possession and distribution of indecent images of children, along with the conspiracy to rape allegation of a one year old child.
The band is still shock and published shortly after the arrest the following message on the band's website:
„Following charges made against Ian Watkins, we find ourselves in a state of shock. We are learning about the details of the investigation along with you. It is a difficult time for us and our families, and we want to thank our fans for their support as we seek answers.“
