Thirty-five years as a justifiable rock musician allows Bruce Springsteen an opinion on the state of over-the-air radio, and he takes it--and takes the medium to the woodshed on the ruthless "Radio Nowhere." The opening smash sets the tone, with the ageless Boss wondering, "Is there anybody out there?" before imploring, "I just want to hear some rhythm." Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced they will be touring in 2012.The iconic rocker’s website was updated with details of the forthcoming tour.

European dates will run through May and July with information on the USA and the rest of the world to follow.

The site also gives some details of the forthcoming album saying: “we want you to know that the music is almost done (but still untitled), we have almost settled on the release date (but not quite yet), and that we are all incredibly excited about everything that we're planning for 2012.”

Details of the UK dates are on the website now, tickets will go on sale in December.
