Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds to tour U.S.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds has announced plans to tour the U.S. in Spring of 2012. The tour will kick off in Washington, DC on March 28th and make stops in Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee and Atlanta.
Tickets for the spring tour go on sale November 18th. The band is currently on the road enjoying a sold-out North American tour in support of their self-titled debut album.
The album was released on November 8th in the US on Sour Mash/Mercury Records followed by their network television debut on The Late Show with David Letterman on November 10th.
The album was recorded in London and completed in Los Angeles during 2010 and the first half of 2011. The album was co-produced by Noel Gallagher and Dave Sardy, who produced the last Oasis album, ’Dig Out Your Soul’ (2008).
The new album went straight to the #1 spot in the United Kingdom, selling an impressive 240,000 & going Platinum in its first 3 weeks of release. Gallagher's debut solo album, which was released in Europe on October 18th, ranks among the highest selling debuts of 2011.
Beginning in August, with the UK debut of "The Death of You and Me", Gallagher has released a trilogy of videos including "If I Had a Gun" and culminating with an amazing video for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds new UK single 'AKA... What A Life!'.
The video was co-directed by Mike Bruce and Blake West, who worked with Noel on the video for 'The Death Of You And Me'. Filmed in California, Arizona and New Mexico, the video features an outrageous performance by actor/comedian Russell Brand.
