Calle 13 wins nine at Latin Grammys

Los Angeles - Puerto Rican hip-hop group Calle 13 notched up nine wins at the Latin Grammys Thursday night including prizes for album of the year, (Entre Los Que Quieran) and record and song of the year (Latinoamerica).
The front runner going into the night, Calle 13 won every prize but one that they had been nominated for, with their rebellious music finding support across a range of categories from Urban to Alternative and even Tropical.
The 12th annual Latin Grammys also celebrated Colombian superstar Shakira, who was named Person of the Year by the Latin Recording Academy, as well as winning the award for best female pop album for Sale el Sol.
Venezualan singer Franco de Vita took home the prize for best male pop album for En Primera Fila while Mexican band Mana won the award for best rock album.
