Mazzy Star fans are in for a treat when the California duo release two new singles on their own Rhymes Of An Hour Records label on October 31st. The singles will first be released digitally with an expected limited edition 7-inch vinyl to follow at a later date.
Written and performed by Hope Sandoval and David Robac, “Common Burn” and “Lay Myself Down” were recorded in California, London and Norway. The duo is expected to release a full album of new material and will hit the road for a series of live shows in early 2012.
Mazzy Star broke onto the music scene with their stunning debut ‘She Hangs Brightly’ in 1990. They followed-up the release with 1993’s ‘So Tonight That I Might See’ and 1996’s ‘Among My Swan.’
“Common Burn” and “Lay Myself Down” are available for pre-order from digital retailers.
