The Pretty Reckless hit the road with Evanescence

Fronted by singer Taylor Momsen, The Pretty Reckless will hit the road for a North American and European tour with Evanescence. The U.S. leg of the tour kicks off October 10th in Oakland and includes major cities in the U.S. and Canada before wrapping up in New York City on November 1st.

The band, which also includes guitarist Ben Phillips, bassist Mark Damon, and drummer Jamie Perkins, will hit the U.K. for a string of November dates, followed by four shows in Germany at the end of the month.

In a press release, Momsen stated: "Evanescence is one of the first bands I ever saw live. I'm so excited to be on tour with them in the U.S. and Europe!"

In September, The Pretty Reckless earned the distinction of becoming the first international band to play a multi-city club tour of China, visiting the outlying cities of Hangzhou, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, in addition to Beijing (for the Beijing Intercity Music Festival) and Shanghai (where they performed at the Mao Livehouse).

Over the summer, the band performed at the Oxygen Festival in Ireland, the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan, and Lollapalooza in Chicago.

The band is touring in support of their current album ‘Light Me Up’ -  which was released in the U.S. on Interscope Records in February.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Rock chart in the U.K, where it spent six consecutive weeks in the top spot following its release in August 2010. Enjoying strong support in the U.K., the band was nominated for both Best Group and Best Newcomer at the 2010 Virgin Media Music Awards.
