Rihanna has used Twitter to announce details about her latest record, a sixth studio album coming this fall.
According to MTV, Rihanna will use dubstep influences similar to her 2009 effort 'Rated R.'
From her Twitter:
THIS FALL!!!!! RT @CustomColourUK: @rihanna when's the next album due?
"You KNOW how I been lovin Dubstep since Rated R," she tweeted.
MTV previously reported that producer Verse Simmonds, who worked on the Rihanna's reggae-infused hit "Man Down," will be working once again with the Barbados beauty.
Simmonds told MTV: "From what I understand, she's closing the album up now, and we did two records for her that she really, really loved, and I'm really excited about them as well," Simmonds said. "They are records that we wrote and produced as the Jugganauts."
Rihanna will guest star on an upcoming episode of the X Factor. Mariah Carey will also guest on the reality series.
Antonio "L.A." Reid, who inked Rihanna to Island Def Jam, was reportedly responsible for the booking.
"The X Factor" debuts September 21 with judges Simon Cowell, Reid, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.
