Katy Perry wins Video of the Year; pregnant Beyonce steals show

Los Angeles - Katy Perry won Video of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night in Los Angeles, but it was Beyonce who stole the show, revealing her pregnancy live on stage.
Rhythm and blues diva Beyonce first wowed the crowd at the Nokia Theatre on the music video industry's biggest night of the year, with a performance of her hit Love on Top, after which she rubbed her belly to announce the first child for her and her husband, rap mogul Jay-Z.
Perry won Video of the Year for her eye-popping Firework clip, while Lady Gaga won Best Female Video for Born This Way and Best Video with A Message.
British soul singer Adele got to take home three awards, namely Best Editing, Best Cinematography and Best Art Direction for Rolling in the Deep.
Justin Bieber won Best Male Video for U Smile, while the Best Collaboration went to Katy Perry and Kanye West's ET. Britney Spears won Best Pop Video and was also honoured with an MTV Video Vanguard award for her visual legacy.
