Blondie is back with a new studio album!
Rock icons Blondie are set to return with their ninth studio album, ‘Panic of Girls,’ in September through the bands own imprint.
The album is described as a timeless pop sheen from the New York City-based sextet and was predominantly recorded in Woodstock, New York. It was produced by Jeff Saltzman (the Killers, Fischerspooner) and Kato Khandwala (Paramore, Papa Roach).
‘Panic Of Girls’ features Debbie Harry, Chris Stein, and Clem Burke returning with newer band mates - Leigh Fox, who’s been with the group since it reunited in ’97; new guitarist Tommy Kessler; and keyboardist Katz-Bohen.
The album’s first single, “Mother,” is an electro-pop gem that nods to the fabled West 14th Street nightclub of the same name which attracted the most outrageous downtown luminaries and self-made superstars in the 90’s.
A video for the new single is available at the band’s website.
