Roger Daltrey to perform ‘Tommy’ album during six week tour

Rock icon Roger Daltrey has announced plans for a six-week tour where he will perform The Who’s classic ‘Tommy’ album from start to finish. The singer will also perform several other classic songs from The Who. The six-week tour launches September 13th in Hollywood, FL and concludes November 2nd at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, MB.
Daltrey, who premiered the spectacular show at The Royal Albert Hall in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust on March 25, will use a variety striking visuals to accompany the music and every show is described as an unforgettable concert experience for lifelong fans and newcomers alike.
Tickets for the AEG Live-produced tour go on sale Thursday, May 19 (Canada performances) and Friday, May 20 at 10:00 AM (U.S.; see below for full list of on sales) and a special American Express card member pre-sale begins Monday, May 16 at 10:00 AM via www.aeglive.com (ending May 18 in Canada and May 19 in the U.S.). Joining Daltrey on the road will be Frank Simes (guitar), Scott Deavours (drums), Jon Button (bass), Loren Gold (keyboards) and also on guitar will be Simon Townshend, younger brother of The Who’s guitarist Pete Townshend.
