She Wants Revenge tour dates announced, new video from Valleyheart

The band will be hitting the road with support from Nico Vega, as the tour kicks off May 13 in Kansas City, MO at The Midland and wraps up on June 19 in their beloved home state of California, with a show at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills.

Alternative band She Wants Revenge is set to release their third album, Valleyheart, on May 23.

The band will be hitting the road with support from Nico Vega, as the tour kicks off May 13 in Kansas City, MO at The Midland and wraps up on June 19 in their beloved home state of California, with a show at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills.

These dates come on the heels of the band's well-regarded set at the Coachella Music & Arts Festival and three appearances at SXSW, where they performed new material to packed rooms including the IHEARTCOMIX and SEA NOW! showcases. After seeing She Wants Revenge at SXSW, Jim Harrington of the San Jose Mercury News (3/17/11) raved, "The band is mighty good in concert. I was impressed with what I saw and heard."

Following the success of their self-titled debut, follow-up album This is Forever, and years of international tours, She Wants Revenge's core duo of Justin Warfield (vocals/guitars/programming) and Adam Bravin (bass/keyboards/sounds/tones)-along with longtime associates Scott Ellis (drums) and Thomas Froggatt (guitars) have returned with Valleyheart, a musical love letter to their West Coast upbringing. It's a refreshed and inspired body of work that serves as their defining statement musically.

In addition to the California-inspired musical content of Valleyheart, Justin Warfield and Adam Bravin also are directing short films for each of the album's tracks. Featured video "Must Be The One", directed by Justin Warfield, premiered on skateboarding site theberrics.com and stars Deborah Foreman, who appeared in the classic Eighties movie Valley Girl.

Nico Vega is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2005. The band consists of lead singer Aja Volkman, guitarist Rich Koehler and drummer Dan Epand. Comparisons have been made to The White Stripes in that they have never had a bass player. The band is known for their dynamic live performances led by singer Aja Volkman. Her vocal style has been compared to that of Karen O, Joan Jett and Janis Joplin. They were very active in 2009 touring with former Bush singer Gavin Rossdale, Semi Precious Weapons, Neon Trees, Manic Street Preachers, and Shiny Toy Guns. In 2010 they toured with Soundtrack of Our Lives, Metric, Sweethead, Saint Motel, and Imagine Dragons.
