Slayer have announced plans to co-headline a 20-city U.S. trek which will see the band co-headlining the Jägermeister Fall Music Tour with their “Clash of the Titans” counterparts Megadeth and Anthrax.
Slayer’s lead guitarist and founding member Kerry King has hit the web with a video message where he lets fans know what to expect from the concerts, how he feels about taking on the Jägermeister Music Tour for a third time, and what album you can expect to hear front to back.
Slayer hit the charts with its blend of metal and punk. The band has been dubbed the “Best Live Band” by Revolver, SPIN and Metal Hammer. Esquire presented them with an Esky Award, and they have two Grammys, a Kerrang! Hall of Fame Award, and multiple Revolver Readers' Poll Awards.
The band continues to break new ground as the first major artist to have a music-themed Apple app -"Slayer: Pinball Rocks." Slayer's most recent album, ‘World Painted Blood’ (released 11/09), offers a Slayer-ized point of view of our world - God's terrifying global genocide, the chaos of our broken political system, the way-too-close proximity of world horrors that technology has brought us, and a chilling hypothesis of how the rest of the world might view America.
