Big Boi has no shortage of friends, so it\'s only right that on his new solo album, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, the Big Boi is joined by a slew of guests. On the production side, Scott Storch (who helmed "Shutterbug"), Salaam Remi (Nas, Fugees), Organize Noise, the rapper\'s own Boom Boom Room producers and Boi-1da (perhaps best known for his work on Drake\'s "Best I ...more

After close to four years in the making, OutKast’s Big Boi’s solo album ‘Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty’ will finally arrive on store shelves July 6th on Def Jam Recordings. Big Boi has also announced plans to join the lineup at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago's Union Park, over the July 16-18th weekend.

Big Boi's arrival at Island Def Jam Music Group marks a reunion with the label's Chairman, Antonio 'L.A.' Reid – who signed OutKast’s first record deal with Reid and his Atlanta-based LaFace Records.

In 2003, OutKast released ‘Speakerboxxx/The Love Below’ – which featured solo albums by Big Boi and his partner André 3000. One of the biggest-selling hip-hop albums in history - 11-times platinum in the U.S., over 15 million worldwide - the album generated three Grammys (including Best Rap Album and Album Of the Year) and spun off two life-changing #1 hit singles, André 3000's "Hey Ya!" and Big Boi's "The Way You Move" (with Sleepy Brown).

‘Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty’ is essentially Big Boi's first stand-alone solo album project since ‘Speakerboxxx.’
