Christina Aguilera plans for a 2010 global tour

Pop diva Christina Aguilera has announced plans for a 2010 global tour in support of her new studio album ‘Bionic.’

The tour will be produced by Live Nation and will kick off on July 15th at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT.

The tour will include 20 dates throughout North America with tickets going on sale to the public beginning May 21st at LiveNation.com. 

The global tour announcement comes as Aguilera is building anticipation for the upcoming release of her fourth studio album ‘Bionic.’ The singer has scheduled appearances on MTV Movie Awards on June 6th, the Today Show Summer Concert Series on June 8th (the same day as ‘Bionic’ release), Late Show with David Letterman on June 9th, Live! With Regis & Kelly on June 10th, The Early Show on Friday, June 11th, the Today Weekend Show on Saturday, June 12th, and VH1 Storytellers on June 13th.

Aguilera is also set to show off her acting skills in her major film debut in “Burlesque” – which also stars Cher, Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell and Cam Gigandet.

Aguilera is a five-time Grammy Award winner with more than 30 million albums sold worldwide and a major touring force with previous tours grossing in excess of $93 million.  She is widely credited with pushing pop music’s boundaries over the past decade and with her new single, album and tour, she is set to take fans on yet another adventure.

All fans who purchase tickets at LiveNation.com through June 4th will receive an email with one unique download link per ticket for Aguilera’s new album, Bionic, on June 7th, the day before the album is available in stores.  Some restrictions apply.
