In support of her new album, ‘The Fall,’ multiple Grammy Award-winning artist Norah Jones has announced plans to hit the road for a U.S. tour kicking off March 5, 2010. The tour will see the singer making 36 stops and staying on the road through May.
Jones will also be premiering several remixes from ‘The Fall’ this week with three tracks featured on three different websites throughout the week. On December 1, RCRD LBL will present “That’s What I Said (The NYC Remix by Adrock and Mike D).” On December 2, Stereogum will present “Chasing Pirates (Santigold and Snotty Remix).” On December 3, Artist Direct will present “Chasing Pirates (Droogs Remix),” which was created by a remix collective that included Beck. The remixes will be released digitally and on vinyl on January 12, 2010.
‘The Fall’ see Jones experimenting with a new set of collaborators - including Jacquire King, a noted producer and engineer who has worked with Kings of Leon, Tom Waits, and Modest Mouse among others.
The singer also teamed with several songwriting collaborators, including Ryan Adams and Okkervil River’s Will Sheff, as well as her frequent partner Jesse Harris. King also helped Jones put together a new group of musicians to perform on the album – which features drummers Joey Waronker (Beck, R.E.M.) and James Gadson (Bill Withers), keyboardist James Poyser (Erykah Badu, Al Green), and guitarists Marc Ribot (Tom Waits, Elvis Costello) and Smokey Hormel (Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer).
