Acclaimed solo artist and highly sought-after producer Daniel Lanois brings his new project, Black Dub, to the Troubadour in West Hollywood on Thursday, October 15 for their debut American performance.

Acclaimed solo artist and highly sought-after producer Daniel Lanois brings his new project, Black Dub, to the Troubadour in West Hollywood on Thursday, October 15 for their debut American performance.
Doors open at 8pm, and tickets are $17.50 in advance or $20 day of show.
The "Project" is Lanois on guitar, Brian Blade (Wayne Shorter, Joshua Redman) on drums, and Daryl Johnson (Neville Brothers, Emmylou Harris) on bass, along with singer Trixie Whitley (daughter of the late Chris Whitley).
Black Dub “features my dub technique that I've been working on for years,” says Lanois. “Hence the name ‘Black Dub.’”
An untitled CD is in the works for 2010.
In addition to releasing more than a half dozen solo albums, Daniel Lanois has collaborated with Brian Eno and Bono, and produced albums for a roster of legends including Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Peter Gabriel, the Neville Brothers and U2, among others.
