Aerosmith set to perform ‘Toys in the Attic’ on tour this summer

For the first time ever, rock icons Aerosmith are set to perform their classic album ‘Toys in the Attic’ in its entirety along with other classics during a summer tour.

The classic album has been credited for inspiring several musicians – including REM who covered the song on 1987’s ‘Dead Letter Office.’ It was also one of two Aerosmith albums astronaut pilot Mark E. Kelly took with him on board the Space Shuttle Discovery on a 13-day, 8.5 million-kilometer trip to the International Space Station in July 2006. The album spawned the now classic Aerosmith songs (and concert staples) "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion." It was featured on Rolling Stone's list of the "Greatest Albums of All Time." The Aerosmith tour is presented by Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and kicked off June 10 in St. Louis. The tour will also feature special guests ZZ Top on June 21st. The band made history in 2008 with the release of Activision’s Guitar Hero: Aerosmith - marking the first music-based game built around the legendary music of Aerosmith.
