Current flows for Australian rockers AC/DC
May 25, 2009, 13:51 GMT
Sydney - Veteran rock band AC/DC sold out their 2010 concerts in their Australian homeland within minutes Monday.
Promoters claimed no entertainers visiting Australia had sold out their shows faster than the band formed in Sydney by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young in 1973.
The progenitors of heavy metal released their breakthrough album, Highway to Hell, in 1979, a year before songwriter and lead singer Bon Scott died in London after a heavy drinking session.
The band, which last toured Australia in 2001, released their first album in eight years in 2008. Black Ice was a chart-topper in 29 countries.
