Respiratory flu causes two Tina Turner concerts to be delayed until May. EPA/STEFFEN SCHMIDTThe 69-year-old singer was instructed by doctors to rest for about six days which has resulted in Wednesday’s concert at London’s O2 arena and Thursday’s performance at Sheffield Arena being shifted to May.The concerts would have marked the first time Turner has played in the UK since 2000, and a statement was issued on Turner’s behalf that she regretted the rescheduling and the "inconvenience" to fans. Ticket buyers have been informed to keep their purchased tickets – which will be valid for the new concert dates. Refunds have also been made available for purchasers who won’t be able to make the new dates.Turner’s last UK performance was two dates at Wembley Stadium. The shows were part of her "retirement" tour in 2000. Her current tour has been billed as a comeback and a celebration of her long musical career.
