Rock icon Neil Young will take the stage Sunday night, June 14th, to close this year’s Isle of Wight festival.
Young is expected to treat the crowd to some of his classic hits (such as “Heart of Gold”), and introduce new songs from his upcoming studio album ‘Fork in the Road.’
Festival organizer John Giddings has stated Young’s music has been an inspiration to generations of fans, and he expects the performance to be one to remember.
The Isle of Wight festival will feature The Prodigy, Pendulum, Basement Jaxx and The Ting Tings on Friday, June 12th. Saturday’s (June 13th) line-up includes British rockers Razorlight and Stereophonics.
Manchester’s The Charlatans are also expected to perform at the three-day festival – which is held at Seaclose Park, Newport. Tickets for the event are now on sale.
