Miley Cyrus touring with Coldplay

Miley Cyrus is set to support Coldplay on tour.

The 15-year-old 'Hannah Montana' star recently revealed her love for the band's frontman Chris Martin - and now the 'Violet Hill' singer has revealed the admiration is mutual and has reportedly lined her up to perform with the band at some shows of their current world tour.

Chris said: "I like Miley. She seems to have a sweet character.

"Anyone we like or respect, no matter how different they may be, we would play with."

Miley recently said she has a crush on 31-year-old rocker Chris.

She admitted: "My ideal man is a 16-year-old Chris Martin. But my mom says I have terrible taste!"

Coldplay have a history of unlikely collaborations.

Hip-hop stars Jay-Z - a close friend of Chris and wife Gwyneth Paltrow - and Kanye West both worked with Chris last year, Jay-Z on 'Beach Chair' and Kanye on his track 'Homecoming'.

The band revealed earlier this year that they had axed a duet with Kylie Minogue from their latest album, 'Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends' after it was deemed "too sexy" for the record's mood.

Chris said: "At this point we cannot be that sexy. It's a song called 'Luna' and Kylie was particularly brilliant on it.

"She writes most of our stuff - and we design most of her outfits!"

However, the musician has promised fans they will get to hear the song, saying: "It will be on a record we will put out in 2009, sometime at the end of next year. It will be track nine, I imagine."
