Cavallo is known for his work with Green Day, and has also worked with Kid Rock, Eric Clapton, My Chemical Romance, Goo Goo Dolls. He is currently in the studio with the Dave Matthews Band for an upcoming release.
Cook has been hitting the studio when not on the road with the American Idols Live tour. He is reportedly co-writing many of the upcoming album tracks alongside some of music’s hottest rock songwriters.
Earlier this summer Cook set the record for the most new entries by an artist in the 50-year history of the Hot 100, with 11 songs entering the chart dated June 7, 2008. That broke the record of six new entries in one week.
Cook's 11 songs were led by "The Time of My Life," which debuted at No. 3, making it the highest new entry of 2008. "The Time of My Life" debuted at No 1 on two other charts, the Hot Digital Songs and the Hot Digital Tracks.
