Kings of Leon are "scared s***less" about their upcoming performance at the Glastonbury music festival.
The American band - who are headlining the event on Friday (27.06.08) - are determined to overcome their nerves and make sure their fans enjoy the show.
Lead singer Caleb Followill said: "We want to have a cool vibe, we want to have fun. I want it to be a party, though it sure as hell won't be a party to us - our a**holes will be f***ing clinched, we'll be scared s***less."
Despite their fears, the band are adamant they are worthy of headlining the prestigious event.
Caleb added to NME magazine: "Arctic Monkeys have headlined it, and The Killers. We've put in a lot more time than those bands. When we leave there, people will be saying, 'Yeah, they kicked it.' We didn't ask for it, we didn't even expect it. We were going to take six months off, and then we got the call about Glastonbury. We were like, 'F**k, we have to do this.' "
