Amy Winehouse 'likely' to perform at weekend concerts, says agent

EPA/MANUEL DE ALMEIDAThe 24-year-old singer was spotted leaving hospital for a rehearsal session late Monday, but returned for continuing treatment. 'It's looking good,' said her agent, Chris Goodman, when asked about two upcoming concerts at the weekend. Winehouse, who has a history of drug abuse, is scheduled to appear at a concert in Hyde Park Friday to mark the 90th birthday of Nelson Mandela, the former South African President, and the Glastonbury rock festival at the weekend. Her spokesman said it 'looks likely' that she will sing, pending 'the final sign-off' from the doctors. Her father Mitch, a taxi driver, told BBC Radio that his daughter had been 'responding brilliantly to treatment' and she would recover 'completely' as long as she stopped smoking.
