Frosty Coldplay
May 15, 2008, 10:00 GMT
Coldplay weren't speaking to each other before they recorded their new album.
Relations between band members plunged to an all-time low before sessions for 'Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends' started, lead singer Chris Martin has revealed.
Chris is quoted by Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "The place we got to two years ago felt dirty. We weren't speaking. We all had our corner office in a tower block, but there was no vibe."
The group eventually managed to patch up their friendships with a little help from legendary producer Brian Eno, who worked on the LP with the band.
Chris said: "We had to get our own place and then call Brian in. We decided to play in a little room, forget the awards and reviews."
Coldplay release 'Viva la Vida or Death and all His Friends' on June 12.
