Kylie Minogue's opening tour night was almost cancelled following a throat infection scare.
Tour producers of 'KylieX2008' - which kicked off in Paris' Bercy Stadium, France, on Tuesday night (06.05.08) - reportedly panicked after Kylie lost her voice last week and they considered calling off the performance.
The show has also been beset by technical problems relating to the giant video screens on the spectacular stage, while producers are said to be worried the show is too long and doesn't include enough of Kylie's greatest hits.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Considering Kylie couldn't sing last Friday (02.05.08) and all the problems with the backdrop of giant video panels on the cutting-edge stage, it is a miracle the show happened at all.
"Mercifully all the issues were ironed out in the end and we are all hugely relieved to get that difficult opening night out of the way."
The tour - which features an impressive eight costume changes for Kylie - has cost over £10 million to stage.
'KylieX2008' includes 53 dates across Europe, concluding with a six-night residency at London's O2 arena ending in August.
It is Kylie's first full tour since being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005.
