Sir Paul McCartney is to perform a special Independence Concert in the Ukraine.
The Beatles legend is set to wow thousands of fans at a free show in Independence Square in the country's capital Kiev on June 14, for charity the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.
McCartney said: "I'm very excited because on June 14 I've been invited to play a concert in Independence Square. Me and the band are going to be there and we're going to have a great evening and we hope to see you there. So come along, it's going to be great evening for the Ukraine. Pull together, groove, rock and roll - all together."
The concert will be broadcast live on screens in cities across the country.
The Victor Pinchuk Foundation will also exhibit 40 of McCartney's paintings at the city's Pinchuk Art Centre.
Billionaire businessman and philanthropist Victor Pinchuk hopes McCartney's appearance will "promote happiness, freedom, love and peace not only in the Ukraine but also in the entire world".
Last year, Sir Elton John performed an AIDS awareness concert in Independence Square, also at the invitation of Pinchuk.
Ukraine gained its independence in 1991 after the break-up of the Soviet Union.
