John Mayer announces summer tour

John Mayer will hit the road this summer for a tour that will kick off on July 2nd at Milwaukee's Summerfest.

The tour is presented by BlackBerry and will see Mayer joined by Colbie Caillat and Brett Dennen as supporting acts.

Tickets will be available to members of Mayer's "Local 83" fan club starting on Thursday (April 10), and to the general public beginning April 19.

Mayer is planning stops mainly at amphitheaters, and will wrap things up with an Aug. 2nd performance at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion near Houston.
