The Enemy's Christmas cone
Dec 22, 2007, 13:30 GMT
The Enemy's Tom Clarke spent last Christmas throwing a traffic cone onto a supermarket roof.
The band's frontman celebrated Christmas Day in the pub with bandmate Andy Hopkins and they got so drunk they stole a traffic cone and later woke up in the toilet.
Tom said: "I celebrated Christmas in style last year. I was in the local pub with Andy. We'd had a few and we decided to order champagne.
"So I went to the bar and said, 'Can I have a bottle of your cheapest champagne and five glasses' and they told me they'd run out of champagne! At Christmas!
"All they had left was this really cheap white wine and no glasses. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but after drinking this horrible wine straight from the bottle all I remember is trying to throw a cone onto Tesco's roof, and I couldn't understand why it kept coming back down. But the next morning, when I woke up actually in my toilet, I remembered it's a sloped roof."
The band also revealed they don't buy each other Christmas presents anymore.
Liam Watts said: "About four years ago we just decided we weren't going to do it. Giving presents is what girls do."
