Amy Winehouse performed a surprise London show on Wednesday night (05.12.07).

The troubled star - who cancelled the remaining dates on her UK tour last month after doctors ordered her to rest - showed up unannounced at Soho's Jazz After Dark club in the same outfit she was pictured in the night before.

The 'Rehab' singer, who had been scheduled to perform at Cardiff's International Arena on Wednesday, sat drinking with friends and happily spoke to fans before taking to the stage to sing some of her biggest hits.

Despite looking a little bedraggled in her unwashed jeans, tight pink vest and messy beehive hairstyle, Amy wowed the intimate audience with a polished 15-minute set.

However, things took a turn for the worse when the 24-year-old star left the club.

Amy - who enjoyed a few more drinks after her performance - reportedly looked "a mess" as she left the venue at around 2am and began shouting at "everyone and everything".

A source said: "She was really out of control and aggressive. She even spat at some of the photographers and crowd waiting outside."

Amy - who was spotted with a dubious white powder round both her nostrils - then headed to the nearby Balans restaurant, where she stayed until 5am.

The star - who has struggled to cope since husband Blake Fielder-Civil was imprisoned at London's Pentonville Prison to await trial on charges of assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice - was driven home via a petrol garage to stock up on cigarettes, lollipops, magazines and drinks.
