Velvet Revolver’s frontman Scott Weiland is in trouble with the law again. The singer was busted for DUI following a Nov. 21st fender bender on a L.A. highway.
Scott Weiland of Velvet Revolver during their performance at the 2007 Virgin Festival at Pimlico Racetrack in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, 05 August 2007. The Virgin Festival made its U.S. debut last year in Baltimore, with 40,000 fans and such acts as the Who. Now, it returns to Pimlico Race Course with an expanded, two-day lineup of big names such as the Police and Amy Winehouse.
TMZ.com has reported Weiland crashed his car around 6:15 p.m., on Nov. 21st, but that no one was injured in the accident. While at the accident scene, California Highway Patrol officer observed that Weiland appeared to be under the influence.
The singer failed sobriety tests, but refused to take a blood or urine test. Patrol officers booked Weiland for the DUI, and he was later released on $40,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on December 13th.
Weiland was arrested for DUI in 2003, and has an arrest on his record for drug possession 1995. The singer also has a domestic violence charge on his record from 2001, and made headlines this year following a fight with his wife in a hotel room.
