'Even if we're having a lot of fun with each other, we will happily go our separate ways when the concerts are over at the end of February,' said Chisholm, who goes by the name of Mel C in her successful solo career.
Dashing hopes of a new Spice Girls album, Chisholm told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa, 'The concerts are simply an opportunity to say goodbye to our fans.'
After splitting up more than six years ago, the group has brought out a CD with their best-known songs and two new numbers called Headlines and Voodoo.
The tour starts on December 2 in Vancouver in Canada. The London concert was sold out within 38 seconds, and the group has added additional dates to cater to demand.
Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell had the idea of a reunion, raising it when she met other members of the group at a party. It was Halliwell who brought the group to an end when she left in May 1998.
Chisholm said she had no regrets about the group's split. 'I've got a great solo career,' she said, pointing to the albums she has made.
