The veteran rocker - who recently released his solo compilation album, 'The Very Best of Mick Jagger' - thinks his lyrics are too honest.
Mick told The Word magazine: "I think my music it too revealing. I find it embarrassing, if you really look at it. In my opinion, you're not supposed to be totally revelatory, you're supposed to cloak things in a few metaphors, but a song like 'Old Habits Die Hard' I think is very revealing.
"I write from experience, though obviously some of it's tongue-in-cheek. It's rock music, it's supposed to be fun, but the more serious ballady ones are very revealing."
Mick also said that while he enjoys acting and producing films, his first love will always be performing music.
He said: "I have other interests, but performing is my principal one. I enjoy the buzz of performing - whether it's in a kitchen with ten people or in a stadium, it's still the same thing - instant gratification."
