Pearl Jam and Ames Bros have announced the release of “Pearl Jam vs Ames Bros: 13 Years of Tour Posters” - a chronology of Pearl Jam's celebrated concert posters spanning 1995 to 2007. “Pearl Jam vs Ames Bros” is available for pre-order today at www.pearljam.com and www.amesbros.com for $50. A limited edition, signed and numbered copy of “Pearl Jam vs Ames Bros” is also available for pre-order today for $200 through the Ames Bros website and to current Ten Club members at www.pearljam.com.Opening with a written forward by Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament and introduction by the Ames Bros, the 264-page hard cover book features 229 posters designed by Ames Bros and Pearl Jam artist Brad Klausen.

“Pearl Jam vs Ames Bros” features over 80 comments on individual posters from all five members of Pearl Jam and running commentary from the poster designers - offering insight into the inspiration, concepts and process of poster creation.Featured interviews in “Pearl Jam vs Ames Bros” include: brothers Jeff and Barry Ament discussing their upbringing in Montana, early artistic collaborations and their working relationship; Ames Bros' Coby Schultz and Barry Ament recounting their day to day life at Ames Bros, the process and inspiration behind the posters and early history preceding Ames Bros; and an interview between Joe Barela of Seribellum Press and Coby Schultz. At the same time, fellow Montana native Coby Schultz was working at a small design firm designing snowboard graphics, clothing, and ad campaigns for K2 snowboards.In 1995, Ament and Schultz joined creative forces to form Ames Bros. For the past 13 years, this small shop has put up big numbers. Their client list boasts the likes of: MTV, Nike, Converse, Virgin Mobile, Absolut, Miller Beer, Nissan, Honda, Cooper Mini, K2 and Ride Snowboards, the NBA and the NFL.Ames Bros have been published in numerous books and design magazines, won numerous design competitions, and even landed themselves a Grammy nomination for the package design of Pearl Jam's 1998 release, ‘Yield.’ They were recently awarded the coveted 2007 One Show "Gold Pencil" for their 2006 Pearl Jam World Wide Tour poster campaign.

More on Brad KlausenGraphic artist Brad Klausen has been designing posters, web content, select merchandise and album artwork for Pearl Jam since 1999. As the band's current in-house designer, Klausen's posters have long been coveted by poster enthusiasts and collectors alike.Klausen has also designed posters for such artists as Built To Spill, Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal and more. These works, along with his extensive Pearl Jam poster catalog, are showcased on Klausen's latest web endeavor, Artillery (www.artillerydesign.com), which was launched in July 2007. Brad Klausen graduated from University of Denver in 1998 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
