Sex Pistols hit the stage on the Sunset Strip

Tuning up for a reunion tour in Britain, legendary rockers the Sex Pistols played a club show on the Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip on Thursday.

The club packed in more than 500 fans at the Roxy Theatre for the band’s first public performance in four years. During the show, fans were treated to some of the Pistols’ best hits – including “Anarchy in the U.K.” and “God Save the Queen.”The Pistols brought their expected attitude and sarcasm with them for the performance. They also didn’t seem to mind being a bit off on some of their timing or the fact that singer Johnny Rotten (John Lydon) forgot the occasional lyric. He was sure to add some new words to a few songs - such as “Paris Hilton, kiss my arse” in the classic “Stepping Stone.”The Sex Pistols (including bass player Glen Matlock and drummer Paul Cook) are planning two television appearances in Los Angeles next week. They will then head to London on Nov. 8th for a four-night set at Brixton Academy, and then a show in Manchester.
