In addition to the standard compact disc format, James Blunt’s ‘All the Lost Souls’ was released in a new format called MVI – Music Video Interactive.
The MVI is a DVD that contains the full album audio as well as bonus content the traditional format doesn't offer such as video content, portable music files and interactive computer features.
The ‘All the Lost Souls’ MVI contains the documentary, "In the Studio with James Blunt: The Making of All the Lost Souls," the video for the song "1973" and a preview of the forthcoming "Return to Kosovo" DVD.
James Blunt captivated the world with his debut album, ‘Back toBedlam,’ released in 2005. The biggest debut in the UK since the Beatles, Back to Bedlam has sold 10 million copies worldwide, 2.6 million in the US alone. James Blunt also picked up two MTV Awards, five Grammy nominations and two Brit awards. All of these accolades may be summed up in one outstanding accomplishment: James Blunt is the #1 artist of the last two years.
Blunt's sophomore album, ‘All The Lost Souls,’ displays a huge musical growth from his smash hit debut, ‘Back To Bedlam.’ These new, more mature songs, recall the sounds of Elton John, Cat Stevens, and Neil Young. In addition to being an “excellent album,” ‘All The Lost Souls’ is packed with singles. Early response to the first single, "1973," has been extraordinary.
Interactive content includes the UrTone computer application which allows users to create personalized James Blunt ringtones, a Photo Gallery, Buddy Icons, Wallpapers and more. Previous MVI releases have included: Linkin Park, Rush, The Flaming Lips, Yung Joc, with a Matchbox 20 edition slated for October.
