Amy Winehouse has signed up to headline the 2007 mtvU Woodie Awards.
The 'Rehab' singer - who has not performed in the US since she pulled out of several high profile events and her American tour this summer due to "health issues" - has agreed to top the bill at New York's Roseland Ballroom on November 8.
The event is much more low profile than the MTV Video Music Awards - for which Amy cancelled her performance - as it only features acts voted for by college students and only students can attend the show.
The 24-year-old star - notorious for last minute cancellations and performing while intoxicated - will be joined on the bill by The Academy Is... and Spank Rock.
After a rocky summer in which she married lover Blake Fielder-Civil, was hospitalised following a drugs overdose and was photographed after a bloody brawl with her new husband, Amy has eased back into public life.
She most recently performed at the MOBO Awards in London last month, where she won Best UK Female but appeared to forget the lyrics to her songs on stage and was heavily criticised for her performance.
The Woodies will be aired simultaneously on mtvU and mtvU.com on November 15.
Meanwhile, Amy is preparing to begin work on her third studio album with producer Mark Ronson next month.
