Jive Records has announced the release date for Britney Spears’ new studio album ‘Blackout’ has been moved up to October 30th. The new release date is reportedly in response to some of the album’s tracks and demos being leaked online.
A spokesperson for Jive Record stated: "due to these numerous unauthorized online leaks, the label is doing everything possible to prevent and avoid any further illegal distribution of songs including moving up the release date of the album to October 30th."
The album’s first single, “Gimme More,” has found success on the charts – already reaching the top spot on the most downloaded clip on the U.S. iTunes Chart.
Spears has stated the album’s title describes “blocking out negativity and embracing life fully."

I'm actually excited about Britney's new album. I know she's living a crazy life and has a lot of personal issues going on, but music doesn't have to be about the person behind it. She has fun, catchy pop music, and I like it. Since I normally listen to absolutely no commercial/bubblegum/etc. pop music, it's kind of refreshing to hear Britney's music. I hope she succeeds and manages to get her life back in order! Go Brit!
