Hip hop has been dead for a long time. I don't care for either one of these guys because they're helping to further kill an art form that I grew up listening to. Its all about money now and not a lot of thought put into songs. Kanye needs to remember he doesn't need a statue or an award to prove his worth. As for 50 he should have grown up as an artist and move on to more mature rhymes. I mean come on dude your like 30 so start acting it. Stop feeding the youth this gangster nonsense.

For the moron that said 50's lyrics where garbage from the beginning you obviously never listened to power of a dollar. kanye's production is good but his lyrics and delivery are trash. he is all over the place with no clear message. I guess it doesn't matter because 90% of people never listen to the lyrics anyway.
The fact that Soulja Boy is #1 on the charts proves my points.
Oh and one other thing. 50 on the mix tape scene has put down some really hot music over the last year or two. I could easily assembly a record 10x hotter than Curtis just from those efforts. None of it would ever get the pass of suites at interscope or make radio play.
Hip hop isn't the only art form thats dead. We are our own worst enemy by subscribing to this crap, prefab music being pushed down our throats by suites in the industry.
Honestly making an incredible album (the way hip hop used to be) won't get sales these days. It just won't. I can name dozens of artists that 98% of the public have never heard of because they are doing it real.

The reason nobody likes 50 cent is because he talks too much sh*t. Just like this episode with threatening to retire. My guess is that people got tired of hearing him run his big, dumb mouth. Dude needs to get over himself.
