By M&C News Sep 12, 2007, 23:43 GMT

During her award-winning 30-year music career, Amy Grant has sold more than 30 million albums around the world. EMI CMG Label Group and EMI Music Marketing have partnered with Amy Grant Productions for an in-depth global catalog campaign, including remastered catalog titles and digital sales initiatives.
On October 2nd (October 1st outside of North America), Amy Grant’s first-ever career and label-spanning hits collection, Greatest Hits, will be released around the world in CD and Special Edition CD/DVD packages and digitally. In the U.S., the new title will be released by Sparrow/EMI America Records.
Amy Grant: Greatest Hits features 19 tracks culled from all of Grant’s studio albums, including nine #1 and nine Top 5 Pop and Contemporary Christian chart hits. The Special Edition’s DVD adds more than an hour of exclusive content, including a new 40-minute interview with Grant about her career, a rare acoustic performance (audio), five music videos, a photo gallery, a bonus ringtune and a complementary three-month trial membership to the official FOA (Friends Of Amy) Fan Club.
In addition to the release of Greatest Hits, Amy Grant’s three holiday titles, Christmas Album, Home For Christmas, and A Christmas To Remember, will be reissued on CD and will be premiered digitally across all major DSPs on October 2. In addition, several of Grant’s music videos will be made available for digital download for the first time that day.
EMI’s global Amy Grant catalog campaign began on August 14 with Sparrow/EMI America Records’ physical release of 14 remastered albums on CD, including ‘Amy Grant,’ ‘My Father’s Eyes,’ ‘Never Alone,’ ‘In Concert, Vol. 1,’ ‘In Concert, Vol. 2,’ ‘Age To Age,’ ‘Straight Ahead,’ ‘Unguarded,’ ‘The Collection,’ ‘Lead Me On,’ ‘Heart in Motion,’ ‘House Of Love,’ ‘Behind The Eyes’ and ‘Simple Things.’
The August 14 debut of Grant’s extensive catalog at iTunes and other major digital sales providers (DSPs) included 16 remastered titles, free of digital rights management (DRM) restrictions and available at bit rates up to CD quality. iTunes launched multiple features related to the catalog’s digital debut, including a new dedicated Amy Grant artist page with “Amy’s Celebrity Playlist” and “What’s On Amy’s iPod,” a 10-part weekly Podcast series featuring an exclusive new interview, and “The Storyteller Collection,” a new digital box set of 10 albums for $79.92. Exclusive to iTunes, the set includes 112 songs with a 14-page digital booklet. Several Amy Grant ringtunes and ringbacks are also now available for purchase.
On October 16, Amy Grant will publish her first book, Mosaic (Flying Dolphin Press/Doubleday), a collection of her favorite memories from her life and her career. Through early 2008, Grant is touring across North America with her husband Vince Gill and the Del McCoury Band. Several Mosaic book tour stops are scheduled in October and November at major book retailers across the U.S., and Grant’s upcoming TV appearances include ABC’s “The View” on October 16.
Amy Grant has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, and she has achieved unparalleled success as a crossover Contemporary Christian artist. In the U.S. alone, Grant’s achievements include nine platinum and platinum-plus albums and nine gold albums, six Grammy Awards and 21 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards.
She is well-known as the pioneering Christian singer whose success on mainstream radio opened doors for other Christian artists. Grant’s impact was recently celebrated with a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame, making her the only artist with roots in Contemporary Christian music other than Andrae Crouch to receive such an honor.
