Kid Rock was cited for misdemeanor battery following a fight with fellow rocker Tommy Lee at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards. EPA/PAUL BUCKLas Vegas police issued Rock a citation at the Palms Hotel and Casino around 10 p.m., Sunday, and took statements from people who had witnessed the incident. Rock was not taken into custody, according to information from the police. MTV VJ Sway reported the altercation happened during the music channel’s awards post-show, and that he witnessed Kid Rock “deck” the Motley Crue drummer – who was sitting next to Sean "Diddy" Combs. Both men are former husbands of Pamela Anderson – who was a presenter at the awards show.Rap producer Rich Nice stated Rock threw the only punches, but Lee was the one who instigated the fight. Nice reported Lee “antagonized him (Rock).”Security guards at the event allowed Kid Rock to remain at the show, but removed Lee.
