Award-winning singer/songwriter Miranda Lambert - just nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year by the Country Music Association - is the latest addition to the first annual GirlFrenzy.

The line-up for the Saturday, October 27 daylong concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA already includes Sheryl Crow, Avril Lavigne and Fiona Apple, along with Los Angeles natives--red hot Colbie Caillat (whose single "Bubbly" is a smash pop radio hit) and iTunes sensation Sara Bareilles - as well as Antigone Rising.
"Miranda Lambert is one of the most exciting young performers," says festival promoter Del Williams of Right Arm Entertainment. "We are truly honored to have her on the festival. She is a complete artist that enhances the dynamic spirit of GirlFrenzy."
With her recent nomination, Lambert joins the ranks of some of the top women in country music currently nominated. She recently won New Female Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music and was also nominated in the "Best Female Vocalist" with such names as Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Sara Evans, and Carrie Underwood. Lambert's debut album ‘Kerosene’ was certified platinum earlier this year and her second album, titled ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ debuted at the Number one spot on the Billboard Country Album charts.
‘Kerosene’ debuted at #1 on the country chart when it was released in March 2005 and went on to be the 2nd highest debut for a new country artist in 2005 making Lambert one of the Top Selling Debut Country Artists of the year.
In the past two years, Miranda Lambert has toured with Keith Urban, George Strait, Toby Keith, Dierks Bentley and several other top names in the business. Her current single "Famous in a Small Town" is currently Top 20 on both R&R and Mediabase.
