Rapper Foxy Brown arrives at Manhattan Criminal Court in New York December 23, 2005. Brown was arrested in Florida and held overnight for battery and obstruction of justice, according to the arrest record and local newspaper reports on Friday. REUTERS/Jeff ZelevanskyBrown was ruled in violation of her parole following an arrest for allegedly assaulting a neighbor with a cell phone earlier in August. TMZ.com has reported that Brown, who is three months pregnant, was transported to Rikers Island for the parole violation. Judge Melissa Jackson has ordered Brown to remain in jail until her next hearing on Sept. 7th. The rapper had been on probation for an assault at a nail salon. The website also reported that Brown and her lawyer did not expect Judge Jackson to order jail time. Brown will be housed at the Rose M. Singer Center, but it is not known if she will be segregated from the other prisoners.
